Elliptical Trainers

An elliptical trainer is like a cross between a NordicTrack runner and a Treadmill. It gives you a different range of motion and in fact in may cases when a person can not use a treadmill because of knee issues, they can easily use an elliptical trainer. I myself prefer to use elliptical's simply because they seem to be easier on my knees.

They provide a great non-impact cardiovascular workout that can vary from light to very high intensity based on the resistance selected on the system and your own ability to tolerate it. I've stepped on an elliptical after 20 minutes drenched in sweat.

As with Treadmills, there are many different styles and prices to choose from. It's best to buy them slightly used and save on the cost of paying retail price for them.

Many times, people with the best intentions buy them only to use them once and then never use them again. They just sit and collect dust.
