reliable, good for price July 30, 2010 Christine I just purchased my 3rd Gazelle Edge. Frustrated with breaking other cheap exercise equipment (bicycles, stair steppers, jogging trampolines) within a few months, I chose the Gazelle because there are few parts to break. I had the last one for 8 years until the axle broke. I have found that SuperLube and spray lubricants break down quickly and need re-applying every month or so, but some nasty-smelling grease intended for autos (I'm guessing it is "axle grease" but I'm not sure) works almost indefinitely. With one machine, I ruined the metal loops at the ends of the cables by not keeping them properly lubed, but Fitness Quest sent me some free replacement cables.
Overall, I haven't found other exercise equipment in the $100 range that is anywhere near this durable. It might break faster for a heavier person, though (I'm about 115 pounds).
And the movement feels very natural, a lot like an elliptical machine. And it is light enough for a woman to carry around the house and up stairs.
A convenient exercise machine July 28, 2010 Steve Price I have had several Gazelle machines over the years. This is my favorite model. It is quiet, smooth and effective. It is light enough to be easily moved and small enough when folded for storage to remain in my TV room, where I can exercise while enjoying the Samsung HD TV I bought from Amazon as well!
Love It July 23, 2010 nurse with painful knees I love this machine! So easy on my knees and fun. Doesn't take up much space either.
gazelle edge July 18, 2010 eddy money this glider was easey to put togethger and the routine was very easy and no impact on any muscle group that I have problems with.
A good work out. July 17, 2010 Sandra Schockow (OJAI, CA, US) I work out daily on a treadmill, bike and the Wii. I went to visit my son and daughter-in-law in Seattle and she had the Gazelle Edge. It looked very interesting so I decided to try it. Wow! what a work out. I ordered one while I was there so it would be at my home when I arrived. I have made it a part of my daily workout and just love it. It's easy to use and fun too.
